258 Relaxation
Here is Clip (has a clip out of her ear) sprawling out on a concrete bench. The backyard squirrels will do a lot more sprawling on the benches and patio once it really gets warm here.

283 Silhouette (Morning Walk)
I always enjoy the birds at the top of the trees, especially the red-winged black bird that hangs out by the golf course. There is also a mockingbird who sings his pretty songs.

19 Backlighting (Morning Walk)
It was cloudy when we started on the walk this morning, however the sun came out for a couple of minutes and lit up the grasses and the trees. These were planted a couple of years ago along a berm that separates the city golf course from the street. A big improvement and I do love the grasses as they blow in the morning breezes.

17 Baby
One of our most favorite neighbors brought home a new baby today. She is eight weeks old and just barely a pound. She likes to play and seems a very happy puppy. I think he said Misty is a Pomeranian.
244 Public Transportation
While we are a few miles from the airports, it does seem like more jets are going over and at lower altitudes. When the weather is bad they do come in lower which can be quite noisy. On some mornings when I am trying to enjoy the peace of the garden they can be extremely annoying. Of course I do look for my house when I fly home but I seem to fly in from a different direction.
256 Reflections
I like gazing balls and this one is my favorite. It sits in the bottom of a old bird bath. I think I dropped the top and broke it. I like the reflections off the ball and the anole sitting there reflecting that it sure is quiet without my daughter's dogs chasing him.

354 Water's Edge (Morning Walk)
This is part of a small lake that is connected to a couple of larger lakes. It was an overcast day and with a bit of wind. The lake is like a mirror on those few days that there is no wind. Decided to apply the Orten effect.

255 Red
This lovely cardinal likes to sing for the ladies, very loudly and often very early in the day. We usually have a pair all season long who hang out. The female has been known to remind me to fill the feeder.
221 Outdoor Seating (Morning Walk)
I am trying to see how many themes I can find on my morning walk. The owner of this house decided that she wanted a beach type seating area in front of her house. Had some sand trucked in and the grasses added. I'm afraid her little palms are looking very burned from the two freezes we had.

234 Pink Stockings
This little dove has lovely pink stockings and blue eyeliner but that's another story...

279 Shadows
Always plenty of shadows from the trees in my back yard.
167 Laundry
Sheets going round and round. I rather miss having room for a line in the backyard to hang the sheets on to dry. Loved the fragrance of sun dried sheets.
34 Breakfast
One of my favorite breakfasts, rather a red, white & blue breakfast with blueberries, strawberries and bananas. There are actually some Cheerios underneath the fruit.

25 Beverage of Choice
While I no longer drink as much coffee as I used to or would like to, it is what I love to drink in the morning. A nice dark roast; nice and strong and nothing added. It is not jet fuel as some have alleged. The mug is made by a lovely artist in North Carolina.

249 Rain, Rain, Go Away!
Actually I would prefer the rain not go away as the garden needs it badly. As this is the dry season we are grateful for every little bit we get even if it means there's a nasty cold front behind it.
