151 Home is Where the Heart Is
We do not see too many turtles here, but this one was under a bench in our front yard this morning. Saw his head when I first walked out and thought for a second that we had a snake curled up under there. This sweetie headed to the backyard, I had to remove him from the shed and then he headed over to a shady area under some ferns.
I took a short break from the blogmonster, have a lot to take care of before we go on a 3-4 week road trip.

We have a whole bunch in our yard. Don't see them that often but be careful when you move the car. Last year when I moved the Motor Home I accidently ran a big one over. I always look before I move the MH but that one time I forgot. Great shot.

Great shot and the best take on the theme possible. What a wild life you have- turtles, ibis, furry rodents...

It's a great shot of him, and he's giving you the eye right back! Thanks for being considerate of the other creatures that live around you! That seems so rare these days, sometimes.

He's very striking. Excellent photo!
