358 What's Inside?
I've had aloe vera plants growing in my back yard for many years. Inside those fleshy leaves is a lovely gel that relieves discomfort from minor burns. Which is why there is a leave that has been cut. They did suffer some freeze damage as I forgot to cover them during our three freezes. They will bloom later in the year with a very tall stalk with small orange flowers.

I really like how the stalks spiral out from the center. Nice perspective.

Nice one! My grandmother always grew aloe in a pot in her kitchen window--for those cooking accidents.

Terrific for sunburn, and is even able to be applied to open wounds (Minor) to keep out infection if you have no honey for that job. Love the way you framed this.

The framing really makes the image pop! I love these plants - I have 2 in my kitchen window and it gets used a lot! LOL

My wife grew this plant years ago. I wonder why no more. Nice set up with frame and plant.

The latest one I have is now over 5 years old. And I don't use it for cuts or burns. I have a gel that I purchase - cheap - from Wal-Mart in the sunscreen section.. It is just as good, there when you need it. My plant has been cut back but it has gotten so large that it is too large for anyplace to put it when I have to bring it indoors in the winter. Mine has never bloomed. Wonder why? On the other hand, my Christmas Cactus blooms like crazy. Even out of season. I've had it bloom twice in the same year.

Nice treatment of this photo. And I like the contrasting colors.
