96 Feathered or FeathersOne of the American Robins passing through. They are often with Cedar Waxwings who tend to be a bit shyer. It's always a pleasure to see them although the strawberry farmers prefer they keep their visit very short. They like to taste each strawberry in the fields.

No robins her yet! I really like the warm tones of the photo, in the robin's breast feathers and the fence behind him.
Nice that it posed so it could complement the fence color, robins are so cheering except maybe in high summer when here they start singing at 4:00 in the morning.

Not quite spring, yet. We still have plenty of robins down here. They go north in the spring, and winter here in Texas.
But I have been seeing plenty of bird-fights as the males of all types vie for the ladies of choice.
My next door neighbor accidentally took out a nest of newborn baby rabbits (with the lawn mower--no more details will be mentioned). Their eyes weren't even open. Two were rescued by the neighbor, and have gone to a rabbit sanctuary for raising. Early sign of spring, both tragic and hopeful.
